This sounds kinda like my idea for one of my current projects. I did away with all the social stuff and got straight to the point, addresing the most popular arguments. I think if something already popular did it, they wouldn't have to rely on social features to get this thing going
A community created online overview of an issue, kinda like a cheat sheet for debates.
What problem or issue does your idea address?
People usually have a very basic understanding of an issue. It takes a lot of dedication and hard word to get even beyond a basic understanding. With this point-rebuttal hierarchy, even beginners can have a decent grasp of the state of an issue.

This sounds good. Maybe easier to grasp than your other similar idea, plus it involves a lot less initial work because you could just use a wiki.
I'm the Program Manager for the newly formed Altruism Research Foundation. My general goal is to make the world a better place whatever it takes. This blog if for those that share or want to share a similar destiny.
